in the United States
It’s now been 40 years since Brother Branham’s 6th vision was fulfilled. We know that the Catholic Church came to power in the United States through the presidency of John F. Kennedy. He was inaugurated in 1961 as the first Catholic president. During his presidency, Mrs. Kennedy captured the imagination of the American public. She dictated woman’s fashion and culture, and remains to this day an American icon of style and beauty. Together, (spiritually and naturally) Mr. And Mrs. Kennedy personified the fulfillment of Brother Branham’s Sixth Vision. It is also important to remember Brother Branham identified Kennedy as “the pharaoh who knew not Joseph,” …a prominent role at the time of Exodus.
Brother Branham characterized the United States as “A woman’s nation.” It would be “ruined” by women. This would occur on a multifaceted front. First degradation by immorality, specifically through woman, their attire, and appearance. Then by the political movement allowing woman to vote, the Equal rights agenda was thus issued in. Woman became affluent in the workplace, acquiring men’s vocations and men’s wages. Women left the sanctity of the home and became liberated. Having children and domestic responsibilities became repugnant. Dogs and cats became a vicarious means of satisfying any lingering instinct of nurturing. Women began to shape the laws and direction this nation would follow. The Word of God was constantly undermined by such as the infidel woman, Madam Murray, who was instrumental in taking the Bible and prayer out of public schools. Finally with popular vote greatly influenced by women, “the wrong man was elected” to preside over the country. The very thing the founding fathers who had left England bound for Plymouth Rock and come to this country to escape, was now presiding over America in the White House.

"the pope out of the United States" was
prophecy concerning the pope's first time travel from Rome to the United
States. A key to understanding this is
the surrounding circumstances that would accompany the fulfillment of this
prophecy. There are 5 key indicators in
the 1933 prophecy concerning the travel of the Pope and surrounding spiritual
circumstances.
1. Pope would travel from Italy… first time in over 150 years
2. Visit the United States
3. Pope would call for unification of all churches
4. At that time, “an image like unto the beast” would begin to form…

5. Protestant churches would comply

87 I believe, one of these glorious days, when
this united confederation of church goes together, and the new pope is brought out of the United
States and put over there according to prophecy, then
they'll form an image like unto the beast. And I tell you, the true Church
of God will be drove together.
Notice the word “then” in the above quote. This has
already happened, as the “image like unto the beast” (the World Council of Churches) was formed years ago. This portion
of the 1933 prophecy depicts the spiritual gross darkness that befalls
Laodicea. It is noteworthy that by the facilitation of men such as David
DuPlessis, the Pentecostal Movement also accepted participation and membership
of the World Council of Churches, which recognizes Rome as its’
leadership.

group of man gets together and sets their ideas about It, and that throws you
right back into a twist like there was at the beginning. No hopes at all in
that case; you're simply gone. And all of them just seem to be so stirred up
about this friendly churches, think if God will be with them. "Well, the
Millennium is going to start when the council all gets together up there, and
all the ecumenical moves, and so forth," and they join in. What they doing? Making an image unto the
beast, a power, that where all the undenominationals, and so forth, that
won't join in with them, will be shut out. Just watch and see if that happens.

And here it is just exactly the way that he... the way It said, just coming the same
way, how the pope would leave Rome, and
so forth.
As a new pope in 1964, Paul VI made a pilgrimage to
Jerusalem and the Holy Land. He became the first pope in over 150 years to
leave Italy. That was followed by trips to India in 1964, the United States in 1965, where he
addressed the United Nations, Africa in 1969 and Southeast Asia in 1970. Paul met with leaders of other churches,
and in 1969 addressed the World Council of Churches. Brother Branham
pointed out the spiritual significance of the travel of the “new” pope to the
United States, and the subsequent climate of spiritual darkness that was
enveloping the American religious systems by interpreting the symbolism of the
total Lunar eclipse, which correlated with the pope’s travel.

Remember,
this is the seventh church age, the Laodicean Church Age. According to
Revelation 3, they reject Christ. Of every church age that was mentioned in the
Bible, the Laodicea Age was worst of all of them. It turned Him out, rejected
Him, put Him on the outside.
Did you see the moon black out, the other night,
before the pope went over to Rome, from Rome to Jerusalem? Jerusalem, the
oldest church; the moon is a type of the church, always reflecting the light of
the sun, in the absence of the sun, and it blacked out. I drawed that on a blackboard
here, three or four years ago, and showed the churches, in hundreds and
thousands of homes across the nation. What was it? A shadow. The first time a pope ever left, to come
back here, come in--in the name of Paul, and so forth, went down through
those places; had to bless the river, to cross it, and so forth. What does
the--the river need blessing?
What's the
matter with this church age that we're living in today? Can't you see it? God
declaring it in the skies, declaring it in His Word, declaring it on the paper,
declaring It amongst the people? Can't you open your eyes and see the hour?
These are they that testify the Truth. This is the Light of the hour.
Watch the
great ecumenical move, is going into this council up there now, just forming an
image of the beast, in Revelation 17, exactly what it said it would do. You Pentecostal
people going to sit still for that and go into it? The forcing hour has
come.Now is the time to rise and trim your lamp, and shine with the Gospel of
Jesus Christ and the power.
I know this
is unpopular, when many of my Pentecostal friends set with the pope and things,
and say, "A very spiritual feeling." To me, it's--it's wrong. It's
against the Bible. Let the Word of God be the Truth. Yes, sir. It's time now. We
see these great moves going on in the... Oh, it looks good to the natural eye,
sure.
Caiaphas looked good to what he was
revealing to the priests, in that day, all that day. But Jesus was the Light
that was making the Word live, but their councils and so forth had blinded
their eyes to It. He said, "Let them alone; the blind lead the blind,
they'll all fall in the ditch."
We are back to that time again, brothers and
sisters. We're back to that hour again. Notice. Why? Same cause. We find that
the--these great lights that we've lived in, in the days gone by, they were all
right, we have nothing against them. But, this Laodicea Church Age, be careful,
remember, it is a Christ-rejected. And that's exactly what it is now.
This great
council has moved around, to unite all the Protestants together, this
ecumenical move. And what is it doing? It's blackening out the very Word,
itself, and the Word is Christ. How can they do? When, the Christian Science,
and United Brethren, and many of them people in other great organizations, some
believe the virgin birth, some don't, some believe this and that. How can you
join yourself with unbelief? "How can two walk together unless they be
agreed?" Come out from among them and be separated, and take God's Holy Word
and stay by It.

also come here. And the strange thing, is, a few nights before he

went in total eclipse. Just that, what was it? Shadowing off the reflected
Light of the Son. In this, he spoke to the Orthodox father; and they're all in
agreement, "The pope does this for fellowship, good neighborly
fellowship." Which sounds, to the natural ear, the most wonderful thing
could happen. But to the spiritual ear, it's darkness. And how that we
churches, we Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, and Pentecostals, could ever
join into such a mess as that, and knowing our Bible teaches us different! It's
a marvelous thing to me, that how Spirit-filled man can set in places and say,
"It feels spiritual to be in such a place." To me, it's horrible.

night, just before the pope of Rome made his first visit in all history, to
Jerusalem? There never has been a pope

communism. Don't you worry about communism; it ain't going to be the thing to

that. Oh, my, how we see now the
antichrist beginning to unfold itself, taking a hold in the nation. It even
elect their own man, the other churches forming in with it, making one
great big ecclesiastical head. All the Anglican bishop the--they're going over

I thought, "Boy, you being a patriarch, you're
prophesying and don't know it."
"It's later than we think," the guy that
wrote it to me wrote it on top the page. It's later than we think. He'd been
listening to tapes too. Yes, sir. He said, "It's later than we
think." Said, "Brother Branham, didn't you say this years ago?"
I said, "Sure." Yes, sir. It's
coming to pass, because it's the Word of the Lord; it has to. Sure.

Catholic people, no more than Protestant people. You Methodist and Baptist and
a lot of you Pentecostals, when your churches has gone right into this
federation of churches, when they got the big morgue built there in New York of
that federation of churches; it's the same as the United Nations and things;
they're trying to unite all Protestantism together. Now, the Catholics are wise
to that, and going to bring... This Pope
John the 23rd, or 22nd (whatever it is), he's trying in a little humble way
to bring all Protestant faith and
Catholic faith to one faith: exactly what the Bible said they would do.

And even our new pope, his main purpose is to
unite the brethren together. And to the natural eye, it's the thing to do.
But in the eyes of God, it's contrary to the Holy Spirit. We can't mix up with
that. And every church will be caught into that federation. Get out of that thing as quick as you can.
And you'll take the mark of the beast, not knowing what you're doing. Get
out of it. I hope the spiritual mind can catch it.

To reject
the day of the visitation... When God is making a visit to the church and to
the people, receive it then. Don't put it off till next year or the next
revival; that's the hour: "Today is the day of salvation." And
remember, God has never sent a message in any day but what He vindicated it
with the supernatural. Jesus said Hisself, "If I do not the works of My
Father, then believe Me not. But if I do the works, you believe the works if
you can't believe Me." And when you see it clearly cut and--and made
manifest... Now, the time has come that she rejects it, then she's bored in the
ear with an awl, then she'll never hear it. Now, she takes herself to the
confederation of churches to go right in to take the mark of the beast. One of the great ambitions (somebody give me
the paper in just now) the--this new pope has said, is to unite the churches
together. They'll do it just as certain as I'm standing here, and the
Protestants fall for it. See, because
the church... The Bible said, Paul, the prophet of the Lord said, "That
day will not come except there come a falling away first, and then the
man--before the man of sin will be revealed--he that setteth in the temple of
God upholding himself, all that's above God, he as God, forgiving sins on the
earth and so forth." How that this thing happened, but it couldn't happen
until the falling away, until the church begin to get away from the spiritual
feast, draw itself back and organize itself. And then the revelation didn't
stay with the church.

I was reading a circular letter that was put out by
a great Pentecostal that sat side-by-side with the pope not long ago in the
ecumenical council. I got it wrote down, thirty-three years ago, that that very thing would
take place. Now, you'll never be able to swing real spiritual
Pentecostals into that thing. They know better than that. It sounds awful good
to the intellectual, but the spiritual mind grasps it quick that that's wrong.
They know that that's wrong.
They know what God has said about those things. And
so they'll never catch it. Now, the others will, where Jesus said the two
spirits in the last days would almost deceive the very elected if it were
possible. See? But the elected ones will know different. But we're in a time of
trouble where there isn't a minister in the world can stop our denominations
from joining this ecumenical council. They're
already in it. No matter how many things God did, how blessed He was among
us, they went right into it anyhow. You can't stop it.

And why,
why would a man, a Pentecostal world man... That circular letter that Brother duPlessis, our precious brother
got circular... Many of you... Some of you has got it. Set (Yeah, you got it.) in
the Ecumenical Council by the side of the Pope and said it was very spiritual.
That's discernment of spirit, isn't it? "Oh, the Spirit of the Lord was
there." Very spiritual... There you are. Why? Because it's a opportunity
to unite the Protestants and that together, which we have fought for for years,
and the Bible has stood for and told us that would come. And our--one of our
greatest leaders comes right in, said, "That's right. What we do."
And the whole Protestant church is falling for it. And just exactly, if you'll look up there THUS
SAITH THE LORD... First the Word said it, then the Spirit of the Lord said, in
1933, that told all these other things about the nations going to
war and how the machines would be and everything like that said, that's exactly
what would happen at the end. And here it is. It's never failed. And here we see it shaping up.

The Council
of churches over there now that's meeting in Rome... This circular letter that
my good friend, David duPlessis,
when I set there and cried to him about it in Fourteen Mile Creek not long ago,
not realizing he swung the church right
into Babylon... When everybody saying, "Oh, all the churches are
going to be one now..." Yeah, I know that. Just exactly what's wrote on my book
of prophecy in 1933, that would take place. Why, don't you realize
that's Satan uniting together? The Bible says that.
In 1975 Pope Paul VI endorsed the Charismatic Movement during a massive rally
in the city of Rome. Pope John II greeted the 4th International conference of
Charismatic leaders, held in Rome in May, 1981, with these words: "Your
choice of Rome as the site of this conference is a special sign of your
understanding of the importance of being rooted in that Catholic unity of faith
and charity which finds its visible centre in the see of Peter." David
DuPlessis was acknowledged to be the leader of the Movement at that time
throughout the world, he was hailed as Mr. Pentecost and was said to have done
more than any other one person to influence the Protestant Church to be
Charismatic and ecumenical. When asked a question with regard to unity with the
Roman Church he replied that he looked for "nothing less than full
ecumenicity"- meaning total unity with Rome under the Pope.

The people
wants that kind of a system, though. They're going to get it. They are already in it, right now. The
World Council of Churches will give them just what they want, every one of
them together. How these Pentecostals can sit in these conventions, and get in
the Vatican City and write a circulated letter, and say, "The most
spiritual thing I ever said, when I set beside Holy Father Pope
So--and--so," and be a Pentecostal and know how... It's a dead Pentecostal
movement. The whole thing is dead. It's corrupted. It's gone! It's right back
in the Confederation of Churches where it belongs. Exactly right. But the
Church of the living God, that Bride, moves right on just the same. And She'll
go in the rapture by the Word (That's right.); the Word and the Word will come
together.
And if
there ever was a time that Pentecost ought to get with the Mate, Jesus Christ;
'cause we're getting us another nest-full of rotten eggs, denying the Faith,
going into the Ecumenical Council, and calling it great things, to sit by the
pope, and saying "it's spiritual." What's the world's the matter, you
Pentecostal people? Don't you know the Bible spoke them things would happen?
And we holler 'cause the Methodists and Baptists are coming in, and then all
these other things like that. Don't you realize that when the sleeping virgin
come to buy Oil, that was the very hour that the Bridegroom came?
And they did
not get the Oil! Don't you know the rapture will come so secret, and going
away, some of these times, you won't even know it happens. It'll be gone, and
you'll wonder what happened.

You see it
now, understand it? See, now he has got his Eden. Look, all the churches
worship him. That's what, II Thessalonians here, He said. "That man who
calls himself God, setting in the temple of God,... And all... upon the earth
shall bow down and worship him, whose names are not written in the Lamb's book
of life... before the foundation of the earth."
See, it's a modern Eden. Now, what's he doing
hisself? He's moving himself in Rome, his final great eating--Eden place. You see where that pope come over here
the other day? Did you notice all them thirteen's that happened then? He
spoke thirteen words, had thirteen taking communion, spoke in Yankee Stadium,
which is thirteen. Everything was thirteen. And our nation's number's thirteen,
appears in the 13th chapter of Revelation: thirteen stripes, thirteen stars,
thirteen bars, thirteen numbers on the coins, thirteen stars on the coin,
everything's thirteen, and a woman. And here comes the pope, the head to the
woman; the false antichrist to the false bride of science. (Which, our world,
our American eastern world here--or western World, has led the world, in
science.), comes to her in his scientific church, and now all Protestants is bowing to him…
On October 4, 1965, President Johnson met with Pope Paul VI at
the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. Their talk included discussions of
peace, civil rights, education, and poverty. The Pope was in New York to
address the United Nations.
His visit marked the first time the head of the
Roman Catholic Church had visited the United States.

The Pope just come over here. Remember at the tabernacle
when them--you got tapes--I guess all of you take them--how that the Lord
showed there that day in the tabernacle exactly where those Church Ages would
be and how they would be. And I had them drawed out on the board up there, them
Church Ages which you see here drawed out in the book. And if that Holy Spirit
didn't come down in a big Pillar of Fire and went right back there on the wall
and drawed them out Hisself while three or four hundred people setting looking
at it. And just as the Pope started over here, the moon somehow blacked out,
and they took the pictures, the same way that it was drawed up there on the
platform. Now, he's made his trip over here on the 13th, walked 13 steps,
served communion to 13, to a nation that's number 13, and blackouts coming
everywhere. Don't you see where we're at? We're at the end time.

As Israel (chosen people of God) in majority
forfeited their rights in the Book of Life by rejecting Jesus, so the majority
of the Gentile church will also come into condemnation with the resultant
removal of their names from the Book of Life by rejecting the Word and thereby entering into the world ecumenical movement
which is the image erected unto the beast.
